The Tai Chi Dog!

This week we've captured a picture of Hiro doing some "Tai Chi" (stretching). Look how flexible and long his body is. We're planning to take him on another trip next week. He is such a road trip lover. When we open the car door, he will be so excited and can't wait to get in the car. He is growing bigger and bigger and soon we will have to get a bigger car....LOL!

Have a great Halloween weekend!!!

Hope...Keep the Faith

This is a DT layout for Bo Bunny. It's a layout to pay tribute towards this "Beast Cancer Awareness" month. I've used Bo Bunny's "Persuasion" line to create this layout.

Below are some close-ups on it.

These flowers are created using the beautiful "Persuasion" papers and Tim Holtz idea-ology "Tattered Florals" die-cut.

With this, I do hope that, to those of you affected, stay positive and strong. For those not, be aware and get yourself checked regularly.

Beauty In Husky

Here's another DT layout for Tim Holtz to share. This layout is created using Tim Holtz idea-ology Shabby Chic paper stack, tissue tape, grungeboard, fragments and metal embellishment. I've also used some Tim Holtz Alterations die-cuts and embossing folders. To add more elements on it, I've used some Clear Scraps circles on it too.

Here are some of the details on it.
In the close-up above, I've embossed the Clear Scraps acrylic circle with Tim Holtz embossing folder and then inked it with solvent ink. Then, I've add some strips of tissue tapes on it and detail it with brads.

In the above picture, I've embossed another Clear Scraps acrylic circle with Tim Holtz embossing folder and later paint it with some Ranger Alcohol Ink. Then, I've added a regal die-cut which I've cut out using Tim Holtz die-cut, on it. I've added some depth to it using Distress Stickles. Detail it with a mini grungeboard flourish and a muse token.

Here's another tip to share. "Enhance tissue tape with stitches". Simply hand stitch some stitches around the tissue tape to change it's look and enhanced it.

I've used some grungeboard alphas to create the word "Beauty" and cover it with Rock Candy Distress Stickles.

The roses are created using the "Twisted Rose" technique.

I've used some fragment circles to create the bubble look and I've also detailed them with Distress Stickles.

Are you all inspired after looking at this layout? I hope so. Check back tomorrow for a "Pink Month" related project.

Twisted Rose

This is a very easy technique for you to create your very own paper roses. Recently, I've created these twisted roses for one of my DT project.

Here are the steps.
1) What you need is basically a stapler and a strip of paper. (Tip: A great way to use up any scraps or leftover pattern paper. Use a longer and wider strip of paper for a bigger rose)
2) Twist the strip of paper just like the picture above.

3) Fold the twisted strip of paper in circular. Start by creating a fold in the middle of the rose and then slowly adding layers around it. (Tip: Leave some angles along the circular folding) Secure the end of the strip by stapling it on the bottom of the rose. You could use this twisted rose as it is now or you could take a few steps further.

Here are some easy steps to further detail your twisted rose.
4. I've misted the roses with some distress ink. Just mix some distress ink with water in a mini mister and mist it on the roses. You could also use any other mist you have.
5. Later, I've added some distress stickles on top of it. You could also heat the stickles up with a heating tool to create a melted metallic texture.

This is such a great and easy way to use up some of the scraps that we have lying around instead of throwing it away. Try it!

A Mother's Love

This is another DT layout for Bo Bunny. I've used the gorgeous Olivia line to create this layout.

Below are some close-ups on it.

To highlight the masked flowers, I've used a black pen to outline it's edges.
I've sprayed the middle of the flower with some distress ink to add some depth to it.

Hope you all like it. Check back tomorrow for another easy flower tutorial.

Another Hiro's Week

This week had been an unusual week with Hiro and it has been frustrating. This week, Hiro won't poop when we bring him for his usual bathroom walks. He chose to do it at home. We are kind of lost and had no idea as to why he is doing so. We did apply the solution to get rid of the smell, hoping that he won't do it again but it's not working. We really hope that he would improve and don't do it again. Does this happened to your dogs before? Do you have any idea as to why? Please share it with me here!

Freedom & Wealth Altered Canvas

This is an altered canvas that I've created using tons of Tim Holtz products.

Below are some close-ups.
I've added some crackle accents in between the metal ornate plates.

These grungeboard hinges had been embossed and inked with distress ink. I've also add a strip of tissue tape around the edges of the canvas.

I've used some grungeboard alphas to form the title. I've inked it and add some glossy accents on top of it.

I've die-cut the cage and the bird using Tim Holtz Alterations "bird cage" die-cut. I've used acrylic for the bird and grungeboard for the cage. I've stamped a crown to add on the bird.

I've used the "Tattered Florals" die-cut to create the flowers. I've inked the edges of each layer and fold in on each petal before attach them together. I've used some accouterments to embellish the middle of the flowers. I've also used some metal foliage. To further detail it, I've applied some distress stickles on it.

Hope you all find this project inspiring. Have a great weekend!

It's All About The Candy Card

Just to add a little "Halloween" atmosphere here, I've created this card using Bo Bunny's Whoo-ligans line. This card is also created fully using Tombow adhesives.

Here are some close-ups.
In the close-up above, I've used Tombow Roller Tape adhesive on top of each lollipop and then sprinkled some glitters on it.

Aren't these monsters cute? I really love them!

Check back tomorrow for another project using Tim Holtz products!
