Happy Holidays Tag

Here's another Christmas tag that I've created. The concept used on this tag is "tag on tag". There are actually few layers of tags on this tag. I've also used Bo Bunny's Noel line here.

Below are some details.
Under the first layer of vellum tag, there is another tag created using a pattern paper. I've also created a small pocket at the bottom of this tag and insert another smaller tag in it.

I've stamped a Christmas tree on the vellum and decorate it with a red pearl pen.

Are you all prepared to welcome the year 2011? All the best to you all in this new year! Hope you all will continue to support me next year!

Time Flies

This is a layout that I've created using Swirlydoos kit. It's also a layout using stamps by Vilda stamps. the background paper of this layout is a resist pattern paper which I've inked with various different colours of distress ink.

Below are some close-ups of this layout.

Some of you had asked me how to order from Vilda Stamps or Stamp Enjoy when you all could not understand the language on their site. I personally do not read French or Swedish either. What I normally do is to use a language translator. For Stamp Enjoy, you all click on a flag on the top right of their site to translate the site into English. For Vilda Stamps, what you all could do is to use google translator to translate their website into English.

Hope you all are having fun preparing for Christmas!

Christmas Ornaments

Hi everyone! Thank you for all the warm birthday wishes at facebook, here and some online forums. It really had brighten my day. I'm finally back at home and I'm exhausted. I need some time to recompose myself back to norm before I get into the groove of creating again.

Anyway, since Christmas is just round the corner, I would like to share this simple ornament project with you all.

To create these ornaments, I've used Clear Scraps acrylic ornaments, Bo Bunny's Beautiful Noel line and tons Tombow adhesives.

I've kept the design simple so that the transparent element of ornaments could still be seen. By doing that, the ornament would look more elegant. I've stamped some snowflakes and flourishes on the ornament using white Staz On. I've applied some Tombow dimensional liquid glue to some areas and sprinkled some fine glitters over it. I've also applied a strip of Tombow permanent roller adhesive on the neck of the ornaments and sprinkled some glitters over it too. This is such a fast and fun project. Try creating some of these for your tree this Christmas!

I'll be sharing some pictures from my trip soon!

7 Altered Bird Frame

This is an altered bird frame with a grungy steampunk look, that I've created using Clear Scraps chipboard bird as the base and tons of Tim Holtz products. This is actually my last DT project as part of Tim Holtz design team. He has decided to end his first design team due to his very busy schedule. However, due to the fact that I really love most of his products, I'll will continue to share any of my future projects using his products with you all.

Below are some close-ups and explanations on this project.
To create the eye of the bird, I've used a compass sticker, some sprockets and gears. The eye glass is created using a circle fragment and a swivel clasp.
I've used a used a metal sheet and embossed it to create the wing. I've also sand it a little to reveal the embossed images better.

To dress up the tail, I've used some memo pins, charm, muse token and a cut out alpha from the lost and found paper stack.

I've used an acrylic slide by Clear Scraps to frame around the photograph. I've inked it with alcohol ink and wrap part of it with some tissue tape. For the steampunk look, I've wrap some crafting wire around it.

I've used the silhoutte piece of the mini crown mask to decorate on top of the bird. I've detailed it with pearls and distressed stickles.
I've distressed the metal "7" with a texture hammer before attaching to the project.

This is such a fun project. Hope you all like it.
