Live In Fairytale

Today, I would like to share with you all a layout which I've created using Blue Fern Studios chipboard frame.

I've just the frame into two parts and painted them. Later, I used some twine to tie them together again to form a swing.

To create the brick look, I've used a Clear Scraps mascil and some texture paste.

Here is me being a little playful again with the photograph. I've used some crystals and gel pen to accessorize Chloe in the layout.

Happy scrapping!

Happy Monday to you! Zva Creative and our talented Design Team welcome you to our February blog hop! We are very excited about month's hop and are excited to share our work with you!

Today's Blog Hop begins at Zva Creative's blog! Be sure head on over to check it out! Since many of us live in different time zones around the world, you will find a complete list of all the participating blogs there (in case there is a glitch along the way).
As you know, Zva offers many beautiful color groupings for pearls, flowers and crystals. If you like what you see along the hop you can find a list of stores and online retailers that sell Zva HERE.

Here is my project to share with you all today!

I've created this layout using Swirlydoos February kit, "Upon A Time" and some gorgeous crystals and brads from ZVA Creative.

Here are some close-ups.

This beautiful huge crystal flourish is by ZVA Creative.

Check the big circle on the layout. I've used Clear Scraps damask mascil to create the pattern on it.

I've used some gem brads from ZVA Creative to detail the tags on this layout.

ZVA Creative supplies used:

The Blog Hop starts today, February 25th and runs through midnight US Eastern Standard Time on Tuesday, February 26th.
***Prizes***
Hidden on FIVE of the designer's blogs is a Zva Creative prize package! Winners will be randomly chosen after the hop is over. All you need to do is leave a comment on this Blog Hop post... you do not need to leave a comment on each and every designer's blog post to qualify. However, the more times you comment along the blog hop path, the more chances you will have to win.
The 5 winners will be announced on Wednesday, February 27th on Zva Creative's blog. We will do our best to notify each winner, but it's best if you can pop in to Zva's blog on Wednesday to see if you are a winner!
We also thought it would be more fun to add even more chances to win our blog hop prize! To increase your chances of winning:
* Comment to let us know that you posted on your Facebook page about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)
* Comment to let us know that you "tweeted" about our hop (link to any of the blog hop posts)
* Comment to let us know that you asked your local store to carry Zva creative products. If they already do, that's fantastic, maybe you can suggest other products that they don't carry.
*Hop over to Zva's facebook page and "like" our page or leave a comment there to tell us that you stopped by.
The blog hop begins at Zva Creative's blog. Your next stop is Anna Zaprzelska. Enjoy!

Here are some details on them.

I've inked the acrylic flourishes with alcohol ink and later used a glass effect gel pen to detail it.

Treasure

This is a layout with tons of Art Anthology and 7 Dots Studio goodness. I've used the Dreamer collection from 7DS to create this layout.

For this layout, I’m trying to avoid using any flowers to embellish. I’ve been using flowers on almost all my projects and I think it would be fun to create a layout without flowers. Therefore, I’ve had tons of chipboards on this layouts instead. It’s easy to blend these chipboards into the artsy papers in the Dreamer collection. Just use some coordinating mist and paints and you’re set!

To create the background, I’ve used a Clear Scraps mascil, "shattered glass" with some Art Anthology colorations (Timeless, Heart, Warm, Focus). I’ve also used another chicken wire mascil and some gesso to create the distressed hexagonal pattern on the layout. I’ve misted them with colorations too.

I’ve actually used a few chipboard and metal pieces to embellish this layout. To make them looked embedded on the layout, I’ve used more gesso and later misted them with the coordinating colorations. To create some darker spots among the embellishment, I’ve used some alcohol ink.
Do you feel like misting and painting now? Have fun playing!!

Remember

After being away for so many days, I'm finally back for good. Today's layout is my third layout using Swirlydoos January kit, Whimsy. I've also used Clear Scraps chicken wire mascils on this layout.

Here are some close-ups to it.

I really love the new Mascils by Clear Scraps. They are so easy to use. The film used to make them would help you avoid problems such as paints getting underneath the mascils while you are misting. I will explain on these Mascils more in another post.

Hope you all like today's layout. Have a fun scrappy week!

These Shoes

This is another layout which I've created for Art Anthology's booth during this recent CHA. I've used tons of colorations and sorbet on this layout. I've used Bo Bunny's Weekend Market collection for this layout.

Here are some close-ups on it.

I’ve used a mixture of a few colorations (Warm, Raider, Waimea Bay) and a mask to create the background. These colorations are water based. Therefore, you can simply just drip or splatter some water drips on it to create the water distressed effect on it.

I've stamped the flourishes in the picture above using sorbet (Jungle Green). Sorbet are thick and enables you to create dimensional stamped images.

I’ve painted the Basically Bare film strip piece with some sorbets (Black Leather, Jungle Green). Love how the sorbets had those little sparkle glitters in them. For the canvas flower and the mullbery flowers, I’ve misted them with some colorations (Juicy, Waimea Bay, Timeless, Focus). I’ve also lightly brush a layer of Dazzle sorbet on the canvas flower.

Have a fun misting, painting and stamping week!
